What games are you following and likely to purchase in 2009?

Myself I'm waiting most patiently for ArmAII and will be putting whatever free time I can scrape together into figuring out how to fly a KA50 in Black Shark.

Frankly there's nothing I'm eagerly awaiting at the moment.

Perhaps guildwars 2, test drive unlimited 2 or GTA V or something might tempt me, but nothing getting me exited right now (gamewise).

Mafia II, Arma II and Operation Flashpoint II, and I guess Test Drive Unlimited II as well (if it comes out in 2009)

Definitely ArmAII and OFPII, although I think ArmA will be the better of the two.

Possibly, but i'm still really curious of what OFP2 has to offer. It does look really good though, after having watched the video beneath (pssst NT, they're also showing the editor). At some moments I got a bit of a 'arcade' feeling though.

It does look impressive but I thought Ego was the next generation of the gaming engine used in Dirt? If is the case it certainly isn't exactly backwards compatible with older hardware so it's likely both games will require a new PC.

I've heard ArmAII will be taking advantage (to some extent) of multicore technology, I'm assuming this is also the case with OFP2?

Yes, OFP2 also takes advantage of multiple cores.

The Ego engine is a modified version of the Neon engine (which was used in Dirt). Perhaps you're mistaken with Grid, which does use the Ego engine.

Yup my mistake.

I'm glad it's not the Dirt engine because thats hiccup city in open areas.

I will definitely buy ArmaII on sight and definitly keep an eye on OFP2.
Somehow I have a feeling that OFP2 can turn out as a "BF2 clone". There is no evidence of this, it's just a feeling I have - maybe because of the graphics?

Other games I'm looking forward to is:
Elemental (okay, it's for 2010)
Rise of Flight (very maybe)
East India Company
SoW:BoB (will be released in "two weeks", hehe)

At the moment:
Rise of Flight
Prototype
Next Empire total war expansion
Storm of War & Project Galba
Wolfenstein 3
Fuel
Assassins Creed 2.

I still don't have Blackshark and I also want to get Battlestations Pacific.

Project Galba? That's the Korea sim that will be released after BoB is out?
Yup, definitely looking forward to that one too!
